As founder and president of JSL Management Solutions, Mr. Minton has over 40 years of experience in all phases of the health care industry, including 35 years of experience in administration, financing, planning and development of communities and services.
Prior to founding JSL Management Solutions, Mr. Minton served as Vice President of a national retirement housing management and consulting company. He was the founder and president of BMA Management, Ltd. and helped develop over 40 affordable assisted living communities throughout Illinois.
JSL Management Solutions previously Blair Minton & Associates was formed in 1989 to assist hospitals in building for-profit businesses. Between 1990 and 2000, Blair Minton and Associates (as a management/development consultant) helped to develop over 400,000 square feet of medical office space for several small to medium sized hospitals in Illinois. Included were a cancer treatment center, outpatient kidney dialysis unit, inpatient rehab and traditional medical office space. JSL Management Solution also consulted in the development of independent living, assisted living, nursing homes and rehabilitation facilities for several other hospitals and non-profit corporations.
Mr. Minton retired from BMA Management in 2011 and founded JSL Management Solutions to build and manage market rate assisted living communities throughout the Midwest.
In 2010, Blair was elected to the Board of Directors of the Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA now Argentum), the largest national organization exclusively dedicated to professional operated assisted living communities. Mr. Minton proudly continues to serve on the ALFA Board.
A registered nurse, Mr. Minton has practiced nursing in both nursing homes and hospitals. He holds an Associate of Arts Degree in Nursing from Kaskaskia Junior College in Centralia, Illinois.
